I was absolutely thrilled to learn that Kwame Alexander’s beautifully written verse novel, The Crossover, is now also available to students as a graphic novel. With incredible illustrations and the same plot that readers love, this book is the perfect addition to your classroom library.

I guarantee that this graphic novel adaptation will fly off your library shelves. While I personally love that Alexander writes many of his novels in verse, the format is challenging and intimidating to some students. This graphic novel adaptation of the story will appeal to those readers. I love to build students’ reading confidence and engagement with graphic novels, and this one will do both for your students.

Happy reading!
